Event Calendar
Jamskolan events run for 10 days and each session will consist of a data and context show, share and tell session a discussion around affordances and insights and a practical making session where new resources are identified, made or designed to support the expressive and educative activity.
Program
Day 1 (Mon 3rd August) Orientation. Introduction to the team, facilities and ACID welcome.
Delegates prepares a 20 minute Audio visual Ted talk like presentation on their research site and demographic.

Day 2 (Tues 4th August)

Show: Presentation workshop day- each research context presents a 20 minute AV session on their research site and demographic. Use of ACID and QUT facilities and Internet access for presentation prep.

Share a summary of similarities, differences and implications for resource making and theory building.
Day 3 (Wed 5th August) Share & Show: teacher researchers as guests @ Ellaways Music.
Academics writing workshop. Public presentation planning presentations.
Day 4 (Thurs 6th August) Focusing on Interfaces for network jamming led by Bert Bongers UTS and Adam Postula UQ, Endeavor foundation industry participation.
Day 5 (Fri 7th August) Show: Focus on Methodology statistics opportunity-network traffic.
Public Show: Discussion about the redesign of the jam2jam interface.

Afternoon tech run. Interstate student jam. QACI Student perform jam.
Day 6 (Saturday 8th August) Support: 1/2 day Bush Talk and Picnic Official dinner at Tukkas in West End.
Day 7 (Sunday 9th August) Recreation day (Sunday) Australia Zoo crocodile Hunter bus trip.
Day 8 (Mon 10th August) Support: Conceptual Share Day 2 Birds of a Feather: Engagement across ACID projects a forum examining engagement as at the centre of the conceptual study and research in these projects.
Day 9 (Tues 11th August) Yarning- Focus Group. Support: How can we support Education and community contexts?
9-30- 12-30 Session one will focus on using narrative in digital story telling across contexts. Media/Arts/ Lit/SOSE education morning meeting with teachers, therapists, community arts providers and researchers.
1-30 3-30 Session 2 will focus on media education. A forum Invitation to teacher educators. How does jam2jam fit media education in schools today?
Day 10: (Wed 12th August) Summary and book Organisation workshop. Writing day for chapter outlines. Conclusion distribution and allocation of tasks for the future.
Morning: Discussions about structure and who’s doing what.
2-30- 3-30pm Video conference link with Prof Trevor Thwaites University of Auckland NZ.

Dr Eva Saether Malmo Academy of Music Sweden.
Graduate teacher researcher: Per Skold
Innovative teacher researcher PerSkold from Humfryskolan will also be attending the Symposium/workshop. Is a music educator and Postgraduate student at Malmo Academy of Music Sweden. His experiences as a teacher began at Rosengårdsskolan secondary school, a school in Malmös most segregated area. Almost 100% of the students have foreign background often as refugees.

Graduate teacher researcher: Anthony Beatrice
A Multi media guru & teacher/researcher from
Pentucket Regional High School in Massachusetts
Anthony Beatrice is a Master of Music Post Graduate student at University of Massachusetts Lowell. He is a music educator and the Band Director and Music Technology Specialist for the Pentucket Regional School District. He teaches concert band to students in grades 7-12 and music technology to students in grades 9-12. Anthony has been trialling jam2jam at Pentucket Regional Highschool and has undertaken detailed research in a number of US contexts.

Graduate teacher researcher: Melanie Matchett
Ed D teacher/ researcher . Melanie was a band director in the public school system in Calexico, California. Calexico is located on the Mexico-United States border and is the highest poverty area in California. The city and schools are mostly comprised of Hispanic students and new immigrant students from Mexico.
